just like dad

 We purchased new furniture (from Ikea, of course...our house is turning into their show room).  Dieter wanted to be just like Wes and use all the tools to put the pieces together.  He is absolutely adorable!

little boys like to throw rocks

Little boys come straight from  heaven knowing how to throw a rock.  We cannot pass a pile of rocks without Dieter being totally mesmerized and wanting to pick one up and throw it.  We can't go on a hike without Wes wanting to pick up at least one cool rock and tuck it in his pocket to bring home as a wonderful treasure.  Boys come with a love for rocks.  

One day Wes took Dieter to the River to throw rocks.  He came home dirty, muddy and completely fulfilled!

 On President's Day we drove up to the Temple.  They have a riverbed of rocks along the grounds.  Dieter enjoyed throwing rocks, especially the big ones.

Museum Day

 Each year in February, one Saturday is chosen as the free museum day in Sacramento.  All the state museums that usually charge are free for the entire day.  This year we went to the California Museum.  This museum has displays on many famous Californians.  There was an exhibit on Eames Chairs (Herman Miller Chairs).

 Dieter even got to try one out.  By the way, I love this little stool! 

We took a walk through the grounds of the state capitol before heading to Pizza Rock for lunch.  

Dieter loves being in the city and seeing all the city sites.  He is such a mini Wes!
