Let's Go Braves

We went to San Francisco to watch the Braves play the Giants.  It was a beautiful day at the ballpark (a little on the hot side...I've never been to SF when it's been so hot).  Dieter loved watching the players warm up and he even watched a couple of plays.  The rest of the time he was wandering around.  He was happy to be outside (his favorite place in the universe).  We had a grand time!
There was a couple in their late 50's early 60's that had seats next to us.  You could tell they were thrilled to be sitting next to someone that had a child on their lap (can you hear the sarcasm when I say thrilled?).  When she first sat down she looked at Dieter and said "That boy needs a hat."  I replied, "I know!  He just will not keep one on".  Then she said, "Well I don't like to wear mine either but I still do".  I wanted to say  "Congrats lady.  If you were my child I would reward you with a treat for keeping your hat on!"  I'm sure they weren't too sad when we left to walk Dieter around and never came back.

The above picture was taken on the day his jersey arrived in the mail.  He insisted on wearing it the minute we opened the package.  He was so happy to have a tomahawk shirt like his daddy!

Family Photos in Old Town

Our friend is a great photographer.  If you look at her website here, you'll see that cute baby in the Coca-Cola crate...that's Dieter.   We chose to have our family photos done in Old Town.  There are so many locations that make for a great photo.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit

My parents came to visit.  We were really excited to have them come to town.  Dieter was extremely excited and wanted to show them everything.  I feel a little bad for  them because they usually view their visit with us as a relaxing time.  There is no relaxing with Dieter around.  Hopefully, they were okay with that.  As soon as they got out of their car Dieter wanted to show them everything from his tricycle outside to his ability to floss his teeth!  We took them to the zoo and the train museum since we have passes that will get us all in for free (well mostly).  We met Wes for lunch downtown after we ventured through the train museum.  It was a lovely time and can't wait for them to come back to visit.

Dieter is now into jumping off everything and swinging from anything that is imaginable.  It's crazy how this little boy has the innate ability to be the stereotypical little boy.  I have a feeling we may see the emergency room once or twice before he is grown!
