our little tax deduction

I just finished filing our taxes for 2012.  Who knew that kids were worth so much!!  Obviously, I'm totally joking (kind of...we really did get a lot more back than in previous years).   I'm sure we'll find ways to spend the money on this cute rascal!

Flat Stanley

 

We were so happy Flat Stanley came to visit from my niece, Charlotte's, class.  We wish we could have had him a little longer to go on more adventures.  We just took him to SF to see the Golden Gate and the Bay area. 

 We walked across the bridge for a bit.  We were expecting the weather to be cold and windy like it always is (especially this time of year), but it was really warm.  Luckily, I had dressed Dieter in layers.  I forgot to bring sunblock and a hat for him, so Wes let Dieter wear his hat.

 I wanted to get a picture of Flat Stanely jumping off the bridge next to the suicide hotline signs.  Wes told me that was highly inappropriate so I settled for Flat Stanley to be next to the bridge with the city in the background. 

 We tried out the Ergo Carrier for the first time.  Dieter likes the Baby Bjorn more because he can face outward.  The Ergo Carrier is our favorite because it saves our back!

This little guy was tuckered out from our adventures.  He slept most of the way home. 

happy valentine's day

 Dieter is quite the charmer and wanted to wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!  Also, my chalkboard wall has come in quite handy!  Another thing, does Dieter's hair look like it has a tint of red to it? 

Five Months

Five Months!!  This little guy just keeps getting cuter and cuter!!  He loves to go shopping with us as long as he is faced out in the baby bjorn.  He squeals with delight!  He is extremely curious and we can see in his eyes that he can't wait until he is mobile to get into all the things we have in our house.   He loves anything that is the color red.  He helps me with my work and loves to see how spreadsheets work (okay, he really just loves to see the colors on the screen!).  He enjoys our daily afternoon walks.  He loves all things shiny.  he loves to look into mirrors and smile back at the handsome reflection.  Just last night we felt his first tooth! He brings so much joy to our home and our hearts!

 Dieter is just starting to like his tummy time.  He loves Clyde the race car driver.  I think he mostly likes to put the wheels in his mouth. 

I love how his little legs go up in the air when he is on his tummy!
