Dieter has a hard time waking up. Dieter also has a hard time with change. He needs a good 45 minutes to 1 hour buffer zone before too many questions are asked or before life starts happing for the day. A couple of Saturdays ago he had been driving around doing some errands and the little guy fell asleep. I brought him into his bed and he took a good nap. Wes was in my office removing the old, asbestos laden floor tiles (We're getting new floors!! When we took the carpet out a few years ago, these tiles were there and we've lived with them for the past few years) when Dieter woke up from his nap, and angrily declared "not cool". He wanted the tiles back!
We've been doing a lot of changes and upgrades. Dieter is always reluctant until he gets to help with a really cool power tool!
The floors are coming along and I love them!! Wes has been doing all the work himself and is quite the pro.

And just like that he's a Sunbeam!
| Brighton Ward Sunbeam Class 2016...James Beckstrom, Greyson Jeppson, Atticus Mitchell, Kendrick Stevens, Dieter Opp (Missing Elizabeth Toone and Mabel Anderson) |
I had sworn off blogging. I told my our one faithful follower (thanks Will...Uncle Ill) that I was just not going to blog anymore. As fate would have it, I needed to find a certain event on a certain day. The only place I had it recorded was on my blog. I started reading through my posts and remembered so many things I had forgotten. I have good intentions of journaling, but it never materializes. This platform has been the best for me. Now that Dieter is getting older and saying such cute, fun things I want a place to write them, to remember them. So back to blogging I go. Apologies to 2015 for skipping out on you. You were kind to us and we thank you for it. On to the adventures of 2016!
First up, Dieter became a Sunbeam! He of course didn't want to go at it alone, so I kept him company. I think, hope, he'll cut the umbilical cord some day soon. His teachers, Brother and Sister Beckstrom, are great. They have a boy in the class as well (first one on the left, James). He was able to get through class well, but I think he missed snack time the most. Fingers crossed for next week!
