the backyard is his favorite place...when we let him roam on his own

Dieter loves when we allow him to roam around the backyard.  There are a lot of weeds (as we don't have grass yet in our backyard) so it makes it kind of difficult for him to get around.  He finds a way and LOVES it.  None of these pictures are staged.  He wandered around and followed him and snapped the pictures as he found his way around.
I think this may be one of my favorite pictures of him.

He likes to pick the fruits and vegetables.

Ward Campout

Last weekend was our ward campout.  The above picture was taken about 5 minutes after we arrived at the campsite.  He loved the dirt.  We didn't actually camp, we just stayed for the evening and the campfire skits and sing along.  We are lucky that we live so close to fun camping.  Maybe next year we will actually camp.

He likes to flirt with all the little girl babies!

DINNER TIME

When Dieter eats dinner, I let me feed himself.  This day he was eating avocados and he looks like he turned into the Incredible Hulk.

He always offers me his food...only after he has totally drooled on it and has it covered in whatever he is eating.  What a polite young man!

baby shower for Amanda

My friend Francesca asked if I would co-host our friend, Amanda's baby shower.  I was so excited because a)  I'm super excited for Amanda and b) I've been really wanting to make a pennant banner for a long time and this was the perfect excuse to do it.
It was a lovely morning (thank goodness it wasn't too hot) to have a little brunch out on our patio.  I made the 'it's a boy' banner with posterboard and fabric.  I thought it turned out really cute.
 Anchors and sailboats.
I found this idea on Pinterest (of course) and had to use it.  I thought it was so cute.
Francesca made these adorable and delicious cake pops for party favors.

gardening

Dieter loves to be outside.  When I let him he loves to be covered in dirt!  This particular day, I turned around to weed the garden for just a little too long.  When I looked back he was eating dirt!

 Acting oh so innocent!
Look at the disgusting diaper!

annual slip and slide

After the Pioneer Day parade it is tradition for the White family to slip and slide on huge slip and slide.  First, however, my dad likes to fill the bed of his truck up with water to make a 'red-necked swimming pool'.  The kids love it.  Dieter even tried it and had fun splashing everyone.
Gabby wanted Dieter to have a Mohawk or a fohawk (but she kept calling it a mofawk...it could have turned into a really bad word if she wasn't careful!)
Brevin was so good to play with Dieter.  He loved being around all his cousins
Playing in the pool with the cousins
I have a million pictures of all the slip and sliders.  I just love the look on Brevin's face.  It was a lot of fun.
Dieter took a turn on the slip and slide!
Terry was able to surf down the slip and slide.
Awwww!  It's my two headed niece
Two of my very beautiful nieces.
Amy and Brevin prancercized their way down to the slip and slide.

Anthony and his family came a little later and brought more slip and slide to extend the one we had.
We had a great time just in time for the rain to come in.

Pioneer Day Parade

Our little Dieter loves American flags and balloons.  He was not disappointed by the Pioneer Day Parade.  It had all the things he loves.  The parade started around his morning nap time, so he was a little grumpy at first, but he hung in there for the entire parade.
Watching the parade with cousin Spencer
I wish the Girls Scouts would have thrown out boxes of their cookies.  That would have made this one of the coolest parades ever.  We didn't even get squeaky cheese this year...someone needs to chat with the Cheese Factory people to set them straight for next year!
I thought this was a darling float (the theme for the parade this year was The Joy is in the Journey)
Now that Anthony and Holly live in Beaver their kids will be in all the parades.  Tyson and Tanner were on the look out for us.
Mom and Dad at the parade.  Poor Dieter was having a tough time...until
 The balloons came!
Uncle Terry was kind enough to hold him and let him marvel at all those balloons.
 Who can resist this face?!

grandma and grandpa white's house

Dieter and I went to Utah for a couple of weeks to help my mom during one of her chemo treatments.   We were sad to leave Wes at home and he was sad too (although, he said one of the perks of this trip for him was a getting 2 weeks worth of great sleep...that hasn't happened since way before Dieter was born!).  Dieter was great on the airplane and it only took him a couple of days to get used to grandma and grandpas house.
We were greeted by a lot of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.  Dieter loved all the attention.  Charlotte and Caleb let him help make their cardboard box airplane.

He loves to watch the washing machine.  It was one of his favorite daily activities.
Another favorite activity-strip down to just the diaper and play in the rocks!

He missed watering the garden with his daddy, so he found the hose and went to work at watering everything!

Grandpa took him for a ride in the stroller and he got so comfy he fell right to sleep.  Grandpa needs to come visit at our house!
Beaver is a beautiful place!  I loved waking up to the beautiful skies each morning.
