The day started with the annual parade. Dieter kind of just sat back and watched everything take place. All of his cousins were geared up for catching all the candy that came from the floats. They shared with him and he was grateful!
After a walk to the park to peruse the festivities, Dieter had had enough. He took a nap in the nice cool, dark basement of my parent's house and recharged his batteries in time for the giant slip and slide.
Dieter had a great time in the water and taking his turn down the slide.
He decided he needed to be the one in charge of the sprinkler and the water.
Mom had an old pinata around, so we filled it with candy and let the kids beat up on it.
Dieter thought the pinata looked more fun to sit on and ride like a horse than it did to hit the candy out of it.
He soon realized the pinata was pretty cool when broken. He enjoyed several pieces of candy.
